Yep, now imagine having to defend someone who kidnapped, raped, then murdered a child.

I don't care if there is overwhelming evidence. Everyone deserves a trial if they plead "not guilty."

If you have the gun in hand, someone saw you do it, ballistics matched, there is gunpowder residue on your hand and DNA confirms it...

good luck in the next life...

So, you'll be convicted then. It doesn't mean we should throw some of the principles that this country was founded on out the window just because it's obvious who committed a crime. There are things like temporary insanity and stuff like that. Not saying they are valid reasons or even understand any sort of psychology behind them, but again goes back to the principles this country was founded on.

temporary insanity...LOL that is the biggest load of horse shit that there is.

You killed someone intentionally in cold blood. Just because you got some stupid psychologist that you paid off to say you were temporarily insane doesn't bring the dead back to life.

If you are obviously so guilty, WTF do I have to pay for 2-3 years of trial and 20 years to life for your sorry existence?

Spotted Owl, it confused the lady for old growth redwood and tried to make a nest out of her.

I don't think they can be held accountable. Its not like they have a choice, they're just doing their civic duty/job.

The most successful people in life are often those who can detach themselves from their work emotionally.

Think about all those fat-cat big tobacco executives who never smoked a cigarette in their lives, but made millions watching others smoke themselves into an early grave.

Its the lawyers job to represent their client. If their client says a feather killed his wife, then the lawyer has to argue on that manner.
