On Tuesday I ordered the parts for 2 new computers for my parents. Since I live at college I figured its easy enough for me to send the parts here, build them, and ship them off to my parents house. By an error on my part I selected my address as both the billing and shipping address but put the order on my parents credit card.
Of course the verification didn't go through the first time, but it still had troubles after updating the billing address. After giving the customer service line a call my mom needed to call her CC company and add my address as an alternate billing address just to ship it here. Then due to a glitch in their system my mom had to call Newegg a few times to get it straightened out, but she was smart enough to talk to the same customer service rep each time.
Note that this started as my mistake in the ordering process, and most of the hassle was due to Newegg protecting their customers, and they still upgraded the entire order to next day air. IIRC the shipping calculator estimated it at $200! She even gave my mom her name and extension and said that if my mom or I ever needed help with a future order to call her first!
