This is why I love Windows NT.

And that was a while ago. My swap file keeps increasing......... it's over a gigabyte now! :Q If this was Win9x it would have crashed 2 weeks ago. I really need more ram though. I got 272MB now (128+128+16). I got a 256MB stick in my dad's old computer but i've been putting it off since I don't feel like restarting. 😉

272MB you mean?
heh

And you have your title wrong meethinks.

"This is why I don't like Win9x".

Any good OS (which WinNT certainly qualifies IMO) should be able to do that.

Crap OSes like Win9x can't.

so...? i had like 100 mozilla instances open in freebsd, and the only thing that died was X. restart X and it was like new.

i could probably do that 60 times a day for a week and not affect the uptime.

windows has lowered everybody's expectations of a stable OS.
