WTF was he thinking? I've won and lost more money in hands then that before, but geez lol.

He was thinking he could steal the pot from you? He also had an open-ended straight draw on the flop.

yeah he was either an idiot or just was trying to bluff...in either case he didnt try nearly hard enough.

I would also raise preflop in that position.

Raise preflop and you won't have the chance to make a poor call on the river with those stack sizes. Glad it worked out for you.

If villian raised any street it definitely should have been the turn. Perhaps a post oak on the river if he missed.

bad call. you got lucky.

that really depends...we dont know h ow this guy was playing...maybe it was obvoius that he didnt have it. the one dollar bet is either a donk bet, or a bet trying to enduce one.

after the turn I would really like to see where i stand...you bet 5 into a $12 pot. If you honestly think you are head here you need to bet more then that because this is not a friendly board we have going here. The 5 dollar bet is only making the pot bigger so it will be harder to fold later on.

thats poker for you. There was no way you were getting out of that hand. this is just one of those cases where you are suppose to lose and hence why you cant always win in poker.

I would have reraised his reraise and gotten him all in sooner...not that it would have changed the outcome becdause he would have called anything anyway.

Yay I'm back in the money for tonight!

I'm sorry, but you played this terribly. When he reraises you here you have to push. Then you make a weak blocking bet on the flop when you still figure to have the best hand, and only call a pot-sized raise (this is definitely push if you think he has KK, QQ, etc., or fold if you think there's no way you can win). Then you make another tiny 1/5 pot bet on the river. Don't know what that was supposed to do--another blocking bet in hopes he'll just call so you're not faced with a tough call (which you call anyway?). I'm confused. Yes, he played this hand very poorly, but you could have forced him to play it even worse, or fold and give you a sizable pot.

Wow ... the person trying to buy the pot is a moron.

KincikNut .... using strategy when playing online? Hehehehaahahahaha That is funny.

Regarding the first hand, he made a pretty good bluff, something that he probably would have been able to pull off at the higher limits. Unfortunately for him he tried to do it at .50/1. If the call had been for $4800 instead of $48, you'd have to have a pretty good read on him, as well as balls of steel to pull of that call. But for $48, easy call.

Uh did you even read how the hand was played? We were both all in at the turn (where you get the 1/5 pot river play is beyond me). He wasn't going to fold with pocket Q's no matter how I bet, and it was pretty obvious that he had face pockets going in. When we were all in, the highest card on the table was a 10. I was the winner of that hand until the river hit and he lucked out. He was completly trapped and we both knew it, he just lucked out at the end. Raise too much on the pre-flop and you get a fold and a crummy couple of bucks due to telling the other guy you pretty much have pocket A's.

How do you expect to play poker when you can't even read a hand play right? Telling me that I played pocket A's horribly, when I had him all-in with a 4.3% chance of him beating me on the river? LOL
