This is why I dont watch the local news or any newscast for that matter

I normally dont watch the news but this situation got me interested because it happened just minutes away from where i grew up and where my parents live. So I'm watching the news conference w/ the police chief of philly talking about what had transpire earlier. So this one chick speaks up from the back and said something along the line of "can you elaborate if the office responded to the call or was actually on his way into the store to buy donuts?"

WTF!!!! Does it freaking matter? The poor guy got shot in the head and the suspect is lose and you wanna know if the cop was there for donuts?

So what was the police chief's response?

he had a smirk on his face and just said he doesnt speculate on things he hear. I believe the officer checks on local businesses in the area as a routine thing he does each day. So it's possible he stopped in to check on the place and has to sign the ledge book they have at many of these places.
