this is from a couple weeks ago, but I forgot to tell my internet friends about it, so:

I go to pick up my friend at his apartment, his driveway is full, so I pull up to his apartment on the side of the street, put my blinker on, and he comes off his porch and gets in my car. I haven't even been there 30 seconds, and I'm about to pull out, I'm still in park...when a cop car comes screaming up behind me and the officers get out with their weapons drawn, and screaming at me and my friend. The guy comes running up asking 'is this your car?!??!? Do you own this car?!?'...I tell him it is, he then says 'get out your license...let me see your license' so I go to pull it out when he starts screaming 'why are you reaching for your pocket?!?!?!? This situation is escalating get out of your car!" and he pulls me out and empties my pockets and ******, and he's frisking me, and lecturing me about how he could put me in the back of his cruiser blah blah blah...so my license comes back clean and he's like 'oh, ok...well you were parked on the wrong side of the street...have a good night", and then he leaves....

WTF?

Sounds like your car matched up with the description of a stolen vehicle.

They still shouldn't have treated you that way. Innocent until proven guilty and all that. File a complaint.

You probably fit the description of someone they're looking for. If they went that far, it was probably someone dangerous.


Also, what you did is whay people do when they buy drugs. Maybe there's a drug selling problem in the neighborhood?

it's the worst neighborhood, or maybe 2nd worst in one of the 20 most dangerous cities in america, so I tried to cut them some slack, but the guy was ridiculous

Yep. You probably fit the description of some stolen car, or some car they were looking for. I had a somewhat similar, although no where near as dramatic, incident happen to me once.

On my way to school in the early AM. Driving down my neighborhood street to get out the main avenue. Make a right on another little street to get to the main ave, and BAM, 2 cruisers put their lights on and pull me over. They come up and ask me questions about my truck "Who's truck is this, where are you going, where did you come from" ect. "The truck is in my dad's name, I'm on my way to school, and I came from my house down that street I just turned off of". They run my license and fiddle with their computer in their car for a little while and send me on my way.

But it sucked tho, cuz it was in the middle o winter and I had to have my window down for that long. And I turned the truck off, so the heater wasn't on. Didn't want to give them the impression I might run or whatever.

Apperently someone had reported a suspicious indivudual messing with a red truck, and the alarm on the truck was going off. Must have been a damn slow morning.

wtf... have you ever bought drugs before... I wasnt aware that it was protocol to park on the wrong side of the street and put on flashers...

regardless that story is ridiculous... file a complaint ....
