A semi with police lights? Watch the video again at the end you will see the police turn on his lights after he wacks the deer.

The police lights are on the whole time, I think once his headlights get broken by the deer, the lights are more noticeable.

Edit:

I was in a van with some other people and we hit a deer while I was asleep in the front seat. The last thing I remember is opening my eyes when I heard the noise just long enough to see the deer flying STRAIGHT UP in the air. Probably the funniest thing I've ever seen. I'm not sure how high it threw him but he got some nice hangtime.

Also, someone in front of me hit a deer a couple weeks ago and I couldn't avoid it and had to run it's head over.

I've been in several car-deer accidents and yeah those things can cause some major damage to your car at much lower speeds than in the video. I'm not sure what kind of vehicle it was but even with that large metal thing on the front I thought there would be some big damage. I think it's a SUV or something, taller than a car anyway, it looks like the hood was about as high as the deer's body. One concern with a car is that deer can very easily come up the hood into your windshield and possibly interior!

I don't know how the driver didn't say anything when it happened.

Just the way that deer came on on the left and in a second or two hit the car is basically identical in my mind how I would picture driving down a road like that where I'm from. Those shifty bastards are everywhere...
