Yes, that's slow. Did you turn off your computer at all? Did you play games or anything for a substantial amount of time? Those both would cause a work unit to have lower keyrates....

Oh yeah, you did a user pause.....how long did you pause it for? I bet you're fine.

Do a quick benchmark, and if you are around 2.2mkeys/sec, you're fine.

Well normally I get 2.23 when nothing is on and when i am asleep or at school during the day! I had been playing a game earlier today and also paused it for a while. I got to go now but thanks for the info for why it got so slow!

Thanks!

Albert.

Unless you have changed the program priorities in Windows, the client will always exhibit this kind of behavior.
the client ONLY uses idle cpu time. This means that when your machine is idle, the client will use as much as possible.

Things like pausing a game, or encoding mp3's while you're away, or even leaving MS Word open with a document does not constitute as "idle." The machine is still processing. No, it's probably not using 100% of your cpu for the MS Word example, but it's not sitting idle at 0% (+/- 2%) either.

It looks to me like you're seeing the 10x misrepresentation of speed that some people have experienced. For example, it took 30 minutes to to half of a full packet, meaning ~1 hour for a full packet, and my systems that get about 3.2Mkeys per second average a little over an hour per packet, so I'd say that it's possible you're still processing properly, at least for the second half of the packet, and the actual speed is just being reported wrong... (I may be wrong, but that's what it looks like to me.)

And lol Russ! Resistance Is Futile!!! And I am only a mini Borg... But all proceeds go to Team AT! SO thats what counts!
