This is weird, my computer is reporting the wrong IP address, help needed

I recently had to reinstall windows, and after I did my computer is reporting the wrong IP address. I ran the ipconfig program, reported it wrong, and I also tried *several* of the websites that report your IP. They all give the same IP, but it is wrong! The reason I know it is wrong is because I am running an ftp server, and if you try to connect to the IP given by ipconfig and the sites you can't connect, but if you use the old one, it works. I knew the IP shouldnt change since it is static (campus connection). What is going on here?

type "ipconfig /release"

wait...

type "ipconfig /renew"

See if that resets it...else you might want to try rebooting a couple times or re-installing your NIC

I'm guessing it shows your internal IP on the campus network.

What IP is it giving you exactly?
