I have been a 'fanboy' or so to speak, since the Riva128 came out. Bought myself the RIVA128, TNT, Geforce1 and Geforce3 ti200..

But this time.. noway ! this is really ridiculous.. I agree on the v5500 / 6000 threads.. but it always makes up for a good laugh.. ;)

edit: Can't help it found another funny one:

Clean it up !

OMG that is too damn funny. Nvidia is going to get hell over this one! Ohhh well the card itself does look really kewl, but my case is loud enough as it is.

LOL! I wouldn't want to put that thing that CLOSE to my ear. You'd go deaf in 2 mins.

I'm not getting it anyway - out of my price range and not on my wish list. Massive cooling is sad. Where is the world going? A few years back we ran fanless computers, and now have to deal with heat and noise issues. I don't like it.

I think Nvidia decided to bring back these and make them sit on top of the GFX card, cause we all use them STILL.

A quote from Brian Burke, PR Manager for Nvidia about the GeForce FX

"We're running this card at 500 MHz (DDR memory). That's CPU-like speed," explained Burke. "If you're going to have that speed, you've got to keep it cool. We've designed a special cooling unit called the 'FX Flow.' It's a combination of heat spreader, heat pipe technology, as well as a fan that brings in cool air from outside the case, and blows hot air outside the case. For the enthusiast market this is targeted to, this kind of cooling setup is like a badge of honor."

Well, that "badge" had better come with matching earplugs. :)

Nice attempt to spin it, "Brian Burke, PR Manager for Nvidia,". "this kind of cooling setup is like a badge of honor", lol, who is he kidding?

Those are great!

I'd get one if:
1. I had a job
2. I had a fast enough system to need it
3. I had a spare PCI slot
4. I needed something to brag about
5. I needed a space heater
6. I want to go deaf
7. I want my computer to crash due to my 300W PSU

Thats all I can think of now. ;)

Blows out hot air and sucks in cool air. Thing looks like it'll be sucking in the hot air it just blew out. It is silent running just like the picture. You need to have it underwater so you can't hear it.
