What is the point of cheating in CS?
It is just a game and it is not like your life is on the line if you don't have
a 25-1 ratio. Just put the effort into practicing and getting better.

Get Ratios Like 50-1 or 25-1!!! Look like a 1337 player!
wow...that is lame. before i stopped playing that game about a year ago i was getting scores like 65-8, 72-15. i used to be in a clan that was #1 on pg, heh. then i stopped cause too many people started cheating and i was accused so i said f' this. :|

<< Har. Apparently they haven't heard of 1.4, where if you're caught cheating on one server you're banned from many many more...I think forever. And most of those cheats probably don't even work anymore. >>
With 1.4, there is one hack that currently works.
With the new HLDS, there is a secure feature that is going to allow cheats to "happen". Once Valve determines they have learned enough about how the cheat works, they will make a change, to be propogated throughout all HLDS servers, that will disable the functionality for that hack to work. This will be a silent "update", but will basically make it nearly impossible to keep cheats alive for too long. With a hack like OGC, and its source released, someone can make a hack, make some changes and get it working, but unless they make some serious fundamental changes in the code, Valve's "anti hack" tech will not allow the hack to live long.
Cheats will happen, but none will exist for too long. Viva Counter-Strike 1.4!

Yeah with CS 1.4, after you die you can actually view the other players as first-person view (ie. see exactly what they see while they are playing)... this will make it much easier to see who is cheating and who's not...

Anyone who feels the need to cheat at any game is a sad sad little person, and I pity them. I would much rather have my scores, good or bad. At least when they are really good, I know its my skill showing through, not some silly cheat.
