Have you ever posted an answer to a question and been beat by someone else by a minute?

I posted a question at the Standord University Folding @ Home forum this Saturday afternoon.

My question was answered in the same minute that I posted it!!
Now, my internet connection is slow, so my answer was there before the page finished loading! 🙂

Here is the sig of who answered my question so fast:

Professor Vijay S. Pande, PhD
Director, Folding@Home Distributed Computing Project, and
Assistant Professor of Chemistry and of Structural Biology, Stanford University

The following posts tease him by claiming: Vijay is actually just a bot. 🙂

Sorry, but I just had to brag about this after reading posts complaining about DC project management.

Thanks

Having the management posting isn't unique for folding. 😉

Climateprediction.net has the AFAIK main programmer daily posting answers in the forums.

BOINC astropulse/seti beta/live has one of the programmers posting more or less daily, but due to the high noise-level they're using the alpha-testers to help sifting through to the important bug-info/questions.
BOINC also has some mailing-lists... 😉

That's really cool! It's like going to church and praying quietly...and having God appear next to you and speak with you.

OK...maybe not that cool...but close!
