what do you think?

y do u want to get the thermaltake psu when enermax makes some of the best and quietest psu's out there? the thermaltake is good too, but not worth it unless you get a case wtihout a psu. other than that, it looks very good.

yes you should. just to let you know, 350W is even fine for your system. i'm sure a good 300W will do fine too.

i have one other question, for the past week i was set on getting a P4 3.0ghz, 800fsb 512kb cache northwood. is the athlon 64 3000+ faster/better than the P4? just wondering because the AMD's are cheaper than the intels, yet it seems the AMD's are better for gaming. so whats the verdict?

YES!

Nice rig Lion, I wouldn't take advice abotu the psu from someone young enough to think y and u are words 😉 Enermax makes nice PSUs, but if you want 480w you want 480w. I'd definitely go with a gb of ram over 512mb asap.

i would buy the extra ram now, but i really cant stretch my budget right now. my budget is max 860, and the one above is around 815 i think. the reason i cant stretch is 2 reasons-college books are EXPENSIVE, an i have some insurance payments coming up. but not to worry, ill get the ram probably around september.

also about the monitor, i dont really need a bigger monitor, 17in is enough. my friend has a 19in and it hurts my eyes. the only way ill get a new monitor is if it doesnt work with my new system or it blows up while im while watching porno.

*runs away*

lion heart hold up-is that case the one with automotive paint? is its the one thats in the 50-60 dollar range, thats an enermax case, but NOT AN ENERMAX POWER SUPPLY!!i had that one and it crapped out in 2 weeks

thanks for the replies guys. unlike some other boards(i wont name any names) this board actually took the time to reply with suggestions and other things.
