This is strange. Where is this space coming from?

I typed "Internet Settings" and the post displays "In ternet Settings."

When I edit or quote the post, the space isn't there. I added an additional comment to the post and saved the change, but it still shows the mystery space.

I'll test to see if it happens here:

As I toggle the work offline mode in WLMail, there are no changes to "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings" (the GlobalUserOffline value does not exist).

Does it happen here too?

Yup!

This is absolutely bizarre!

There is no space when I look at it. Chrome, Win 7.

Internet Settings

edit: there is no space visible to me in my post either.

I'm on lunch break, back at my apartment. My home PC on Win10 shows the space in Chrome, Edge, and IE. My iPhone shows the space in Safari.

Your post doesn't show it on any of my devices. It's something about this long string:

"HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings"

[edit]

If I copy the resulting post (without editing or quoting) and paste it into something else, there's a space. The space in the HTML web page source when I'm viewing the thread/post.

That's crazy! It could cause a miscommunication with consequences. I'm thinking my string should break/wrap at the back slashes...
