Reported to UCPD
On November 19 at 7pm, a male Asian was walking on Westwood Blvd when he was contacted by suspect Luca Rippa. Rippa, appearing desperate, asked the victim for direction to LAX and for money. Rippa called ?his father? and his father convinced the victim to loan Rippa money.
Once the victim gave Rippa cash from his ATM, Rippa asked for a cashier?s check to pay his rent. Rippa then stated he needed clothing and had the victim buy him clothing from an Armani store. Rippa continued his con as he asked for a blank check to pay his rental car.

How smooth talking or how dumb is the "victim"? The victim has to be loaded to be able to afford not only a suit but an ARMANI suit as a gift of sorts to a complete stranger, crazy..

WTF? What a stupid idiot.

I mean seriously...anyone that would fall for that deserves to lose money. I don't think the guy should be charged with anything. Let him keep working the stupid idiots.

that is soooo funny.

sorry. but i think it is hysterical that anyone would give that kind of money to a stranger. money for food, or some spare change, fine. but rent money and an armani suit... hahaha!!!

Haha, a similar thing happened to me near Manassas, VA.

This guy who claimed to be Italian and working for Armani pulled next to me in a gas station with his brand new SUV (cant remember which one) and asked me for Dulles Airport. I gave him directions and right before he left, he asked me if I would be interested in some Armani suits. He said they were extras that they brought to Washington D.C. and they didn't use them / don't need them anymore so he'd give me them to me for hundred bucks each. I told him no thanks and stuff but later on he told me that he told him he was meeting G.Armani in D.C. later that night and some other bullshit. Funny thing is, these guys are really good. He sensed my accent and asked me where I was from. When I told him I was Turkish, he began telling me stuff in Turkish like "Oh I am Italian, we are friends, how are you, etc." in TUrkish. I was shocked. Haha.

I can't believe the victim had the b@lls to call the cops and tell them how stupid he was.

"And then you took him to a store to buy him a what, Armani suit? LOL!!" 😛
