My Dad had gotten bad advice from an eye doctor concerning a problem with his eye and how it was filling with blood. The doc appearantly treated my dad (step dad) like sh!t and made him out to be a wimp and it hurt his feeligns so bad that he feigned good health and didn't bother to go to another doctor regardless of how much my mother begged him to.

I was not privy to any of this.


Fast foward to today.

My mom gave me a call to let me know that he REALLY hurt himself falling off of a ladder at work today🙁 He's okay but really sore (nothing broken or anything; he has bad discs or somethign but he is okay).

As it turns out, he is going in for eye surgery to drain the blood from his eye..appearantly it is full of blood.

That is not the worse part.



After the incident with the doctor, nothign was done to treat the eye, and as I found out today, he is blind in that eye completely. That woudl explain the fall today if that was the case🙁 He only has a small chance of partially recovering his eye sight in that eye after the surgery🙁


I am at a loss for words. The guy is a contracter with DECADES of experience. He has constructed thigns that MARVEL and amaze everyone who sees them.


.....and now he is heartbroken🙁

He's such a good man. He doesn't deserve this. I don't know what else to say.

Some doctors really are incompetent.
 
i'm not saying this to be a smartass, but does your dad take viagra?
it seems to have been implicated in vision problems, and blindness.

This is one of the many reasons why people seek second opinions. When you trivialize your health bad stuff happens.
 
thats terrible...and no offense to your pops, but he shouldnt have really cared what that doctor said and should have gone to another doctor if he wasnt being taken care off.

ehhh...i dont share that belief, but the best of luck to your father...hope he recovers his vision.

Bah, my first eye doctor was a dick. So I got pissed off and went looking for someone else. I have a very short leash when it comes to people who don't know what the fvck they're doing or treat their customers badly.

My dad lost eyesight in his right eye when he was about 14. He now has a colored contact so you can't tell unless you look really close at it. Just amazing how he's been able to adapt all these years with only one good eye...

That really pisses me off that doctors like that can still have a job...I'm not usually one to jump to legal actions, but we have a close family friend who's going to be bed-ridden for the rest of his life probably, all due to a doctor's negligence...is there anything your father can do to ensure that the original doctor doesn't fvck up anybody elses life?

Sorry to hear that...I hope his eye repairs itself. The human body can do amazing things.
