I'm a .NET programer, I have had some experience with j2ee in the past, but it was a while ago and I forgot most of it.
Anyway I guess I don't need anything too beginer level.
I want to build a little web project (for a small company), which will include a nice interface, usage of database, some other features as required.
why I wanna do it in java? -> simply because I want to learn it again, and see its power/weakness.

So if you can please point me to GOOD onlinr tutorials, ebooks, books, whatever which can help me, I'll be very thankfull.
please no crap, 'cause for crap I can google it myslef...
I want somthing you used, and it was good for you, or heard about it... thanks.

Try here then... :)

Well actually, send a Private Message to the user "AnandTech Moderator" asking them to move this thread, instead of posting another one over in the Software Programming and Games forum, because cross-posting (posting the same thing in more than one forum) is highly frowned upon. Good luck.

Me too! Except.. I dont learn by books....they NEVER work for me. However books CAN be an invaluable reference. It's justwhen I program I generally tend totry stuff out and end up figuringit out, and occasionally peeking at some reference.

Btw... what language in .NET? I do C#.NET and VB.NET (I own a VB.NET site too: http://vbprogramming.8k.com).
