So the last time I really play a game was cs 1.3 / cs source. Do people still play these games or am I really dated 🙂
 
"original" cs is up to 1.6 iirc, CS:Source is "CS 2", and CS:Global Offensive is "CS 3". I've only ever played much of CSS so I can't really speak on their differences but as far as I know they all have fairly active player bases, I never had any trouble finding a CSS server with people on it at any rate.

CS is probably one of those games that will never completely die.
 
1.6 is the oldest version you can play. I played before Steam and I was all bummed out when 1.5 went to 1.6 cause of the graphic changes my current PC at the time couldn't handle and I got crazy frame rate drops 🙁. But 1.6 and Source are still played a lot, and Global Offensive is the newest one which is great! New graphics, new weapons, old ones are still there of course, but now the MP5 is the MP7 and some other minor changes.

I'd highly recommend Global Offensive though, it's awesome seeing the older maps re-done visually and all the changes they've made.
