When I go to make my account on itunes, using paypal to fund it.. this happens

I fill out the first info, no prob
theres a link to verify my paypal account under the CC pictures, which i click on
I login to paypal and accept the EULA, and then theres a link to return to merchant
when I clikc this, it goes to a blank page, and when i go to itunes to try and continue, is says my paypal cannot be verified..

this happens in both IE and Firefox... what am I doing wrong?

I hope you don't buy CDs then, either? *

Ontopic -- is there some reason that this doesn't work directly through iTunes? (ie, do you need to use an external browser?)

Bit of a difference there... and of course I do. Stealing intellectual property from the RIAA which it in turn stole from artists would be wrong.

No, I think you missed my point ...
CDs = digital compression = not the true representation ... there's plenty of other threads on here (especially the 192/128kbps style ones) that delve into this issue, and I don't want to derail this from digitalsnare's original topic anymore than I already have ...

PayPal was acting odd last night. Are you sure it isn't just PayPal being goofy again?

I had the same problem, and I tried it when the deal first came out. Still haven't gotten it to work, so I gave up.

I understood your point, I just went a bit off tangent in my response. 128kbit mp3 is close enough to 320kbit mp3 that you need better than average audio equipment to detect the difference. CD is indistinguishable from analog, those who think vinyl sounds better are most likely mistaking CDs' cleaner digital sound for being lower quality than records, which are more prone to the introduction of outside noise and which wear down with use. Further, the music on most records is older and thus recorded with lower quality equipment.
