This is parked in our parking lot every morning

Negative. Canada-only model, along with the new CSX. Just an upscale Civic, not worth the cash IMO.

Year, 1.6EL/1.7EL?

Not sure. It just says Acura EL on the back of the car.

QFT - CA Only.

Funny thing... This morning on the way to work, passed a custom NSX drop-top.

Probably a 1.6EL then, if it's not immediately obvious that it's a different beast. The 1.7ELs have a different taillight and front fascia setup.

/owns a Canada-only trim Civic and gets similar WTF results going through the USA

I see NSXs all the time. They're beautiful cars even though the body hasnt changed in 15 years. But this Acura EL is more of a neck breaker because I've never seen one in my life.

Normally, most people just see "Civic with Acura badging" and scream RICER 😛

LOL, thats what I thought when I first walked past it. "Someone in our office is a ricer?"

Then I slowly walked around the car. It had the Civic body, rims, and interior. But all the badging was Acura. The emblems, the steering wheel, the rims, it all said Acura. I want to see the engine.

Front & back pics @ CanadianDriver | Acura EL forum @ 7thgencivic - Might find some engine bay pics there.
