This is one of those nights...

Work nights in datacenter. I run a few database jobs(copies, cleanups) earlier in the evening and then hang around in case something breaks since the databases are the lifeblood of the company.

Sleep = I take the occasional catnap.

Porn = Not an option, they have some hefty filters.

Music = Got shoutcast playing...

Computer games = I have my laptop, but it's OLD and I can only play so much Starcraft/Diablo/Civilization before I need new entertainment.

I have a stupid 10 minute ticket to do at 4 am, and then (hopefully) the rest of my shift will be boring.

still hacking away at installing linux on my laptop 😛 that's keeping me occupied.

random issues, and I don't know enough about Linux to easily fix them.

if I had my digital camera, I'd take a pic 😛 I have my laptop open in one corner of my desk, one screen on my desktop is dedicated to google searches, the other has AT open, and there are a couple books spread out on the desk.

good learning experience, though, and it's been a great way to waste time 🙂

Getting around the firewall, filters, IDS, etc. isn't my idea of a good time. Not at this job anyhow. :evil:

I know the feeling. I like to think I have a pretty decent grasp on network security, but the setup here is a bit over my head, and I can't imagine they'd take kindly to me poking around trying to learn the "quircks" of the system.

Getting out is usually fairly easy. I have no doubt I could manage it. I do like this job though, so I wouldn't chance getting around it all and not getting caught. 😉
