This is nuts, NY Times & Washington Post newspapers are going through the roof on Ebay...

$1,000? Who the hell do these people think they're kidding?

Funny thing is some guy named itsallfunandgamesuntilsomeonegetstheireyepokedout seems to be buying a lot of them. Something tells me he won't be paying.

:D

Man, why don't people just donate money, instead of spending it on poeple trying to profit from this tragedy. I guess that's capitalism! People can spend as much as they want, but I'd rather see it go to a good cause.

I've seen a couple for "reasonable" prices.

But you have to consider, it is an auction, just because you wont buy it for cost+shipping doesnt mean that others won't. The sellers have no control over it, unless they put a reserve of like, 200 bucks. Then you can flog them :p

The only way that this isn't tastless is if the money goes towards helping the situation. Let's hope that is the case, although unlikely.

The Canadian media is reporting that ebay is disallowing the selling of newspapers from today and other WTC memorabalia.

The ones that have already been sold used Buy it Now. So they definitely deserve a flogging.

Some people are being much more reasonable at $15-25, & many are claiming that proceeds go to Red Cross, but still...

I agree now may not be the time to sell these, but I have seen Newspapers from December 8, 1941 and some other important events being sold for a decent amount of cash. These will some day be collectors pieces. I wasnt able to get to work in the city today (no train service) otherwise I may have bought a few to keep for myself. Now just isnt the time to be selling these.

Well that is one way to stop it. I have always said that E-bay in concept is great but there are too many sick people out there. Case in point the shiny tea pot that I am sure everyone saw.:(:(
