He's 5' tall and almost 220 pounds. That's obese by pretty much any objective standard.

Stuff like this make my wife's job a living nightmare. She's a pharmacist and trying to dose an 8 year on old by adult standards is very difficult. It's a growing trend and is requiring them to really stretch the limits of the dosing charts.
 
I'm 6'5" 235 lbs. and I need to lose a little weight! Sounds like the kid and his family are getting the 'intervention' they need. Hope it helps ...
