This is not intended as racist, but it's an interesting experience.

We live in an area that is mostly white and spanish. Popeye's opened today and my wife just got back from it to find out what we are going to order for dinner (it's going to be the 8 piece, cole slaw, and mashed potatoes and gravy 🙂 ). Even japanese people like fried chicken, she's been waiting for the opening for about 8 weeks.

She said she didn't know so many black people lived here, she hadn't seen them ever (shopping, eating out, at the video store, etc). She was nervous going in, but she did...I think it's funny though.

For me Popeye's is southern food, we all like it. However, that is an interesting observation.

buck buck buck buck is the yummy.

What's the observation? Black people love chicken, especially fried chicken. Slaves were held in the south. Fried chicken = southern food. Black people have a cultural predisposition to loving chicken and watermelon.. there's no shame in it.

In Peurto Rico "Church's Chicken" out numbers like all other fast food restaraunts combined. It's crazy. I was like "WTF is McDonald's at?" They have billboards for McDs EVERWHERE, but only like one actual restaurant in each town. 😛 I suppose they're better off.

how is it either stereotypical OR racist to say, i went to a chicken place and saw a lot of black people?

so what, the other day, i went to a korean restaruant and saw a lot of korean people, OMFG, i must be racist.

No one should take this thread too seriously. Like it or not, there are racial trends in food. When I worked at McDonald's, I noticed:

Black people like Hi-C Orange
White people like Coke

Black people hate onions
White people love mayo

Vietnamese people love chicken nuggets
White people like burgers

Finally, while not a race, old people like Fish Fillet, coffee, and complaining about how in their day everyone showered old people with love, attention, and affection. At least I think that's what they say. I usually just nodded at them while charging them for things they weren't asking for.

Anyway, I challenge anyone to like fried chicken more than I do, and I'm as white as it gets.
