Ok, I just formatted and everything. Anyway, when ever RC5 is on, my stereo make this beep noises. Its a defferent beep each time. I don't know whats up with that... but it's annoying. I shutdown RC5, and it went away. This is not good for my keyrates... I already lost couple of hours in the reinstallation of 98 and win 2k.

Any suggestions? I hope you don't ask me to reinstall the sound card drivers... cause it's a bitch to get it working. I'll keep it as a last resort.

Thanks, and sorry about the grammer/spelling mistakes. Need to install MS Word ;)

Humm, that's a nasty problem.:( RC5 doesn't use any sound routines, so it's definately not the problem. So, most likely, you'll have to reinstall the soundcard drivers again to even have a chance of fixing this.:(

Sometimes it helps to mute the microphone in the mixer even if no mic is plugged in.

Ok, let me correct that; all clients that aren't 2.7x GUI clients don't use any sound routines.

It was unanomously (sp???) decided that the mooing sound was a waste of cpu cycles because it would play after the completion of each block... so everyone turned it off.

If you're really fond of the mooing, there's an external program that you can use if you use the CLI version. Stop by Dnet's 3rd party download section to take a look.
