This is not cool anymore! A7V, GeForce GTE and Win2000.
Hi all. I have an A7V and a Creative Annihilator 2. 3D apps like screensavers, Counter Strike and Half Life are constantly locking up one me. I'll get maybe 30 minutes of good gameplay if I'm lucky then locks up. I have tried Detonator Drivers 530, 532 631 and 647! I downloaded the hotfix for VIA MB's from Microsoft, installed the 4-in-1 drivers, toggled every stupid setting in my BIOS (Fast Write, Optimal or Normal, etc.) I also tried the Creative's drivers. I also tried the 7V 1004c and 1004d BIOS's. Anyone get around this massive headache?!?!?!?!?!?!

Hi BA, I was at another thread and there we were advised to format our hdd after installing a new motherboard or we could end up with the symptoms you are describing.

Did you replace your mb and keep your hdd intact?

If so, this could be your problem.
