This is not a test!

One and a half to two hours til impact by an ICBM flying from the Korean peninsula to Los Angeles? More likely 1/2 hour.

Yeah, that would not be fun to wake up to. On the other hand, if it takes out Los Angeles, isn't that a net benefit for the country?

I doubt they would specify that it was a nuclear missile incoming. That would only cause massive panic. They would say something else, or call it a practice drill. Maybe say a major earthquake was going to occur.

And, as mentioned, we wish we would get a 1.5-2 hour warning.

The text to speech just breaks suspension of disbelief for me.
I'd hope in the real world, a pre-recorded tape would be used, or a news reader recruited to read it out live, like in the olden times.
And the fake low-fi filter is also horrible 😀

A definite positive for sure...

and LOL, a 400 mile radius? NK has nothing even close to that powerful, maybe 50 miles at best

It's from North Korea so there's a good chance it will miss and hit San Francisco. Which of course would be a net benefit for everyone.

I could be wrong, but the last time I looked up nuclear yields they were no where near a 400 mile range. That would be like the big one that was deviled by the Soviets back in the 50's in Northern Russia called the Tsar Bomba. Today's weapons are more like a 50 mile range if that. More like 20 miles.

NK has a yield of maybe 2 KT. 8 miles at beat.

right like nk could get an icbm across the pacific LOL don't make me laugh

whats really scary is an independent agent detonating a bomb inside a metro area, without any sort of warning like radar could provide for an ICBM
