The "cold" i had this past Jan lasted for about 2 weeks... just would not go away. I even was taking Cold-eze and Zycam to shorten it...
you'll be fine. just keep hydrated and rest.

Yeah, but I began writing that post on Wednesday...

It is lasting an average of 3 weeks here in Nebraska. I had it for 3 weeks myself - so did just about everyone I know. Some were lucky and it only lasted 2 weeks, others had it for ~6. It does get better around day 10, but then you have the bronchitis cough for quite some time afterward.

Is this beast a known entity, then? This is the first I have seen or heard of it. Usually it's my kids who bring home all the diseases. But everyone is fine, 'cept me.
The cough was first, and it was rough. Two days with a fever. Dizzy, weak, no appetite. Finally, the cough subsided, and now I have sinus congestion and a headache the size of Oprah. I want neither sex, nor food, nor alcohol. I'm telling you, this is bad...

I began coughing earlier today again, after about a three day hiatus. This is some weird alien buggaboo.
Vitamin C? Nah, I don't believe in it. Although my wife just made me take something called Astragalus. She desperately wants me back. Misses the sex, I suppose...

I don't know what it is, but I have the same thing. It's like a mini-flu, not as debilitating though...I'll feel fine for hours! But out of nowhere I'm back to coughing up sh1t, nasal congestion, achey, feverish every now and then, and the freaking HEADACHES! I never get headaches. I think I've managed to infect everyone I've come in contact with in the past week as well. I've tried to stay home from work, but sh1t keeps coming up. I need to rest this weekend....

I need to go find some Airborne or EmergenC.

Yeah, I had it. End of the third week for me. Barely any coughing and stuffy nose except for the morning now.

Started out as a dry hacking cough, got phlegmy, then became a snot factory. Weakness throughout.
