This...is my BOOMSTICK! Is there an Evil Dead box set? Or just individual?

Hey, when I clicked your links, I got a real-time virus notification from Norton. Apparently the JS Seeker virus resides on that page's code!!!!

I am pretty sure I saw a box set at Sam's but it only included two of the movies. I think it was part 2 and AOD.

Well, that's just what we call pillow talk, baby.

I have never seen a boxed set, but it could be out there. It has been a few years since I watched evil dead, but there was one of them I did not care for. Army of Darkness however, I have on Tape and DVD, and I watch it once every few months.

Good... Bad... I'm the guy with the gun!

You probably didn't like #1 which was more serious -- who didn't like #2, where his possessed hand is trying to kill him?

#1 is worth renting for the great Bruce Campbell commentary track (on the Elite pressing? I forget which)

"Remember to dismember the Evil Dead!" (radio ad for #1)

Good to see another ED/AOD fan out there. I have not come across a boxed set, so your best bet it to buy the current editions, or hit eBay from some possible deals. I have ~20 different versions/cover art of the ED/EDII/AOD series, some of them are OOP and rare.

I've never seen Evil Dead 1. I've heard Evil Dead was supposed to be a horror movie but the director got a totally different reaction from the audience and remade/retold the movie into Evil Dead 2 (which I love and got the Tin-can limited DVD edition of it.)
I got Army of Darkness DVD with the alternate ending which I found less interesting than the S-Mart ending. I wonder if there is a version with both endings in the DVD.

Found this link the other day and it is a pretty cool read even though it is old:

Good idea John. There were some folks who were selling the 3 as a packaged deal. I went back and looked at past auctions and it seems they are going for $50 or so. etards :disgust: That was used at that. You can buy them new for about $36 for all 3 shipped from places like DDD. Probably what I'll do since I can choose which ones I want (features, etc, since there tend to be several releases of each).

Evil Dead 2 is not a remake of the first one, it is a sequel. The reason the beginning of the second one is sort of like the first one is because it's a weird recap of it. I'm pretty sure they couldn't get the rights to use footage from the first one so they had to reshoot the summary of Evil Dead. There is an Army of Darkness that has both endings. I'm sure of that because I have it.

I just have to give a shout out to the Evil Dead fans. I love Sam Raimi, Ted Raimi and Bruce Campbell. Anyone ever see Lunatics: A Love Story?

They've got a special version out of The Evil Dead here, but only the first one. It's a rubber 'Book of the Dead' case basically, but they ask a freaking $50 for it!
