I may be wrong, but I believe that "Hey Man, Nice Shot" was a tribute to Kurt Cobain - I think I heard that once, and the lyrics make sense too. Pretty cool song either way...

And that Russian knife video makes me sick. What makes me even sicker is that somebody was able to retain their composure while they were filming it... And you can just imagine them replaying it over and over again in their cave when they were finished, and laughing at it - because if they were disturbed by it they would most likely have destroyed the tape, or never even done it in the first place.

....man, talking about it almost makes me want to see it again, but....ugh...

<<

<< The first one you mention happened in a US Government building about 5 years ago. A group called Filter had a Platinum record they made about the incident called "Hey, man; nice shot." LOL. In the video, the guy is standing at the front of the room when he removes a large pistol from a manilla envelope. The crowd yells "no, don't do it!" But he does and what a mess it makes. >>

Was that real? I remember seeing that a few years ago, I thought it was much older than 5 years old. Also, did that happen live on TV?
>>

Yes, it was very real and it did happen on live tape. And I think you're right; I'm pretty sure it's more than 5 years old.

<< Harry's arm in Requiem was something extremely horrible & disgusting.. combined with these photos, at least I know I'll never ever ever touch heroin or similar hard drugs. Not that I would have without these images, I have brain, I know what the stuff does to you. But these images do make the decision a whole lot easier ;) >>

I agree Requiem was quite nasty but I found much more disturbing and graphic that scene with the baby in Trainspotting. Something about a baby being a victim of drugs (I think it was heroin in that movie too) just leaves such a lasting sick impression on me. :(

You do NOT want to see that Russian video, it is really bad. I have seen many bad things in my career, much worse than that heroin OD girl (that looked peaceful). I have treated people that have unsuccessfuly tried to kill themselves by shooting themselves in their head, smeared all over the road, crushed, you name it and I have probably come across it a few times.

That Russian video makes me sick.

One more vote for not seeing the Russian video. I saw it this morning and it's been bothering me all day. Off the top of my head, I can't think of a more horrible thing I have ever seen in my life. I had already seen plenty of photos at that unmentionable website, but this was worse.

As for the junkie pic, those of you saying that it won't do anything to deter kids from using are probably right. Sad.

<< I don't really get it. In the first picture, she's in a fetal position. In the 2nd picture, she's laying out.. You can't move someone after they've been dead for more than a few minutes. If you die in some weird position, they'll actually break your bones to fit you in the bag. :Q >>

I heard that rigomortis(sp) only last's a few hours then the muscles and joints become relaxed, hence they bend normally?

1. For those of you who think: "Why do you associate with people who do drugs?!", I say that You also associate with people who do drugs, but you don't know it.
Yeah, that's right. You would be surprised who uses drugs, and what drugs.

2. Re scare tactics: the problem with scare tactics is this--if someone trys a drug and then decides for themselves that the scare tactic was BS, then everything else that their parents/society/authorities/gov't had to say is also considered as BS. That has the unexpected effect of actually opening the door to more use and experimentation.

I am not advocating drugs. However I see the reality that some people do use drugs, and those people need to be educated so they will not harm or kill themselves or others.

Some take an extreme position and say you should either completely oppose use, or else you're one of Them--the old "If you're not with us, you're against us". It's b/c of that extreme position that a lot of people needlessly die.

For those who don't understand what they are seeing in the picture:

The redness and bruising of the face and arms are whats called "lividity" The blood pools to the lowest portion of the body. In this case, her slumped position at death caused the blood to pool in her arms and face, and the pressure on her legs and abdomen kept much of the blood from pooling there. You'll notice the pressure of her forearm on the ground cause the blood to not pool there, hence the white blotch.

Rigor Mortis only lasts about 24 hours. After that, the body becomes limp again. This is why she was moved easily after three days.

As for the question of why she wasn't discovered for three days in what looks like a bedroom in her parent's home, I'd like to know that too. I did a search, but I can't find a more detailed story.

<< I want to see the Russian video. Linky? PM me w/it, please. I like gore. Ever watch the Hellraiser series of movies? My favs. >>

I suppose when you've cradled your own sisters head in your hands, trying not to let shards of skull and bits of brain slip through your fingers, all the while telling yourself that she'll be ok eventhough you know she's already dead. You get affected more easily by these video clips, that's why I've little patience with people who long to see them.

Strangely the reality is almost easier to bear because you're numb or shocked or something. It's only hours afterwards, when you're scrubbing your hands and realise what you're doing that you understand what happened and those videos pale in comparison.
My sister died in a car accident that was no ones fault and I couldn't save her. Personally I just can't watch those video clips any more, and generally go berzerk when someone sends one in a forwarded mail.

I bet you she feels a hell of a lot better now then she did when she was withdrawing from that crap, trust me on that.

I'm a strong proponent of Methadone, and have been on and off of it for years, and have been on it for two and a half years this time. It has made it so I can live my life, I can hold a good job without going into withdrawal when I don't have any dope.

People who have never been there don't know what they are talking about when it comes to Methadone. It's not for everyone, but as far as getting you high, it doesn't, so anyone who says it does is a fool who talks out their ass. I know that without it I can't stop using heroin, so for me it's a lifesaver, and you'd never know it about me unless I told you.
