I run a program called RconMax for my COD4 game server. This is basically a program that allows you to send messages in game from the program as well as administer it from your computer. Now, randomly while surfing the internet, something power cycles itself and i lose internet for a split second, causing RconMax to to be able to reconnect to the server. Also, in game i notice random lag spikes and such and it sometimes just lags out and i have to reconnect.

right now i have a Linksys BEFSR41 with the latest firmware on it. do you guys think this could be the problem with my internet. Like the router just being flooded with connections and just dropping packets or is there something else?
 
im not hosting the game server at my house. my downloads speeds are about 5mb and my upload is somewhere near 380k. the server is being hosted on a third party hosting.
