but can I get Solitaire, Freecell etc to appear larger on an LCD screen? Since I upgraded my wife's PC to a nice LCD, she complains about how small the cards are...I can't find a way to change it.

Well, in Vista, you just make the window larger, and all the cards are resized. Although upgrading to Vista for Solitaire may not be the best solution (but it does look much better than XP Solitaire!).
