Word. Thick and sweet and rich like a milkshake, only no ice cream. My fav drink there, only ~ $4. Our Starbucks is smack dab in the exact center of relatively "quaint" Doylestown, corner of State St. and Main, no lie.
It's in an old bldg. and there's a huge room off of the main one with a couple of couches and several stuffed chairs and a fireplace (gas insert now) where no staff ever come and you can sit and shoot the shit for hours if you're so inclined -- plus a bunch of tables and chairs outside on the roofed porch where you can sit and watch Doylestown amble by in good weather.
I'm not a huge fan of chains of any kind, but I kinda' like our Starbucks.
Edit: Frappacinos, yeah.

Their coffee always tastes too acidic for my taste and even though I'm a journeyman coffee drinker, and the stuff we made at work on the barges doubled as paint remover, Starbucks coffee always gave me a bad acid stomach.
I'm not a big fan of lattes or mochafrappasomethings, or any of the foofy-trendy coffee drinks...just give me GOOD coffee, well made, and occasionally, a double or triple shot of espresso in it for an extra jolt.

At a family gathering recently, I made the mistake of volunteering to go on a coffee run. Not knowing the neighborhood I asked where I should go, and was informed there was a Starbucks nearby. After getting a list coffee orders, and offers of money, to which I declined,(cuz, I'm a proud, generous, magnanimous guy), I set off. The price to fill all these orders was over $35. all i gotta say to Starbucks is thanks for issuing the cards so i don't have to try to remember what the hell my wife orders.

I have to disagree, I love my Mac, iPhone, 2 iPods, Apple TV, but wouldn't be caught dead drinking the liquid crap they call coffee.

i always thought their coffee tasted over brewed, kind of burnt. i drink starbucks on occasion, but ill get either an iced or hot caramel macciado. however its spelled. i also usually fund that with gift cards given to me by starbucks haters that receive them as gifts or work "rewards". pretty nice to not spend much of my own cash on it.

Not sure why people hate on Starbucks so much; I guess it's just the trendy thing to do right now. It's not my favourite, but it's not the worst either.
I usually go to a couple of different local places in my city, but when I am out travelling, or even in an area where there are no other decent coffee places around, I have no problem going to Starbucks because at least I can get a relatively consistent espresso.

because its overpriced and bad? they also think they are better then other people
personally i hate them because the 1 time i went there to get coffee at 6 AM on the way to drop my GF off at the train station i walked up and ordered a "Large black coffee"
to which i got the responce "we dont have black coffee" i would most likely be in jail if my GF had not noticed i was about to murder someone and shooed me away and took care of it.
