This is how I felt when I first stepped into a Starbucks

I went through a starbucks phase for a few years. I would get a latte or something nearly every day. Then I stopped for a few years once I realized that I could get better coffee at 7-11 for $1.15. But lately, I've been going over to starbucks in the middle of the workday for a venti (tallest) vanilla latte. It's been four business days in a row now.

Starbucks seems very pretentious --but I've never been so I guess I can't offer an opinion!

I love Starbucks, the price I pay for that delicious golden juice makes me feel like a god. Then I get upset that I paid too much for a darn coffee. Oh well I think the satisfying aspect of buying coffee at Starbucks is spending the money. It's like, "wow, I just forked over 8 dollars for a coffee slushy.... NEATO!" What kind of a name is "Starbucks" anyway? I hate Starbucks. It's a love/hate relationship.

I've never been in a Starbucks either, I tihnk maybe its not as big in the South as in other places maybe? I never even saw one until like 5 years ago, and yet I've seen people posting maps where there are like 10 Starbucks within 5 miles of their house.

Does my wife making me taste her drink count? Other than that I have never had anything from Starbucks or any other coffee place. Never been a coffee or coffee based drink person myself

Yea, I've been places where there isn't a starbucks within a 30 minute radius. Then you go to NYC, and theres one on every corner. I believe there are four or five within a few miles from my house here in Maryland.

I went to a starbucks once.

then I tried the coffee... yech. what crap.

if you're going to force me to feel like a DB just ordering the thing, it should at least taste good

edit: full disclosure -- I typed that while sipping on an XL dunkin donuts coffee 😛 (no milk, tons of splenda)

I agree; their coffee is nasty. like I said earlier, I prefer convenience store (7-11) coffee. Starbucks has good sweet coffee drinks though.
