This is good (Stephen Colbert on the 2nd impeachment, etc.)

I like J H Beutlers speech (~5:40). I almost posted this video just for that speech because she nailed it.

Though it is her party that are the Fear Mongers, and are the ones spewing the lies.

But it was still nice to see a Republican stand and Impeach Trump in the name of Truth.

ten R. members of Congress voted to impeach. I hear they're buying body armor now because of all the death threats they've gotten. Some party, the Republicans. You do as they say or they kill you. Hey, you sold your soul, what's your complaint?

Honestly, I think what happened Jan. 6 in D.C. is going to lose them the 2022 election, they're going to feel this. 2024 too. America is not soon going to forget this. Yes, a disgusting % of R's say they were all for what happened (45%), but that % is going to fall as the truth of what happened keeps getting focus, and it will. And there are people in America who care where we're going, care enough to say no, this is terrible, I won't vote for those people.

By January 21st, all of that will be forgotten because of the SOCIALISTS RUINING THE COUNTRY.

9/11 was still working hard in 2004. And Iraq in 2016.
Americans have not forgotten 9/11. This year will be the 20th anniversary. The insurgents in/from the mideast complained ~ couple years after 9/11 that Americans have to get over it, forget it, what's with agonizing over what's happened, but they didn't understand the American psyche. Some things aren't forgotten, at least not "permanently." Dec. 7, 1941, Nov. 22, 1963, now Jan. 6, 2021.

I got 75 million reasons why it won't be a distinct minority.
Sorry, 75 million is a distinct minority when 82 million vote opposite.

That was the general election, that went that-a-way. Humans can change their mind... that's why we have polling, that's why we're more lifelike than granite.

You don't need a massive majority to win an election. A decided minority can cause trouble, as we saw Jan. 6, 2021. But we have ways of dealing with certain kinds of trouble makers. I hope they have lots of barbed wire, blankets and stale biscuits on hand in case shit hits the fan this week. And we have to keep tWump's brain on ice until noon Wednesday.

Colbert pitching over 90 on that one, nice.

"Sammy Davis Hitler" lol

That guy is some piece of work. How a minority can be so supportive of a white supremacy fueled movement is just, wow. Part of me hopes it's just all an elaborate incel long game to score hyper conservative blonde talking head. If he's got to implicate himself, oh well. Trump 5D chess on you bitches!

I binge watched around 1/2 dozen Colbert videos post 1/6 the last few days. Better than Seth Myers, who's good, make no mistake. Somehow Trevor Noah has been absent, seems to me. I think Noah's amazing. But Colbert's A+, he can emote. Did you see Cuomo's take down of Donald as the worst excuse for a potus ever? There's real emotion there too. These are not meant for entertainment. I'm gonna watch the playoffs this weekend. I hope the ProudBabies do too. ;)

He was clearly and obviously the worse President in history, even before the democracy destroying "stolen election" lies, and then the unleashing a Mob on democracy.

Recent story claiming Trump flipped out over a Nixon comparison. Nixon was leagues better President Trump.

Agreed. IIRC, Nixon started the EPA. Trump tried to destroy it. Hopefully, nobody will ever compete with trump's rightful claim to be the worst excuse for a leader ever in the USA.

While Nixon was correctly exposed as a liar and a cheat, no one who was around back then would claim the complete incompetence displayed by trump. Just stop and think about the event of 01/06, what was the end game thought process there?, Pence has clearly explained he cannot change the electoral votes and cannot deny them either. Even if that had gotten REALLY ugly eventually Biden would have been sworn in as the next POTUS. Now numb-nuts has completely trashed his "brand", he has a shit-load more of legal trouble because of the insane debacle he created and any serious chance of running again is gone.

There was a massive cult effect pushing that, no way they get a turn out any where near that in 22.
And you just assume that in 22 we don't go right back to Republicans reliably voting and Democrats staying at home to binge watch Storage Wars?

First off, 75m to 81m isn't a "distinct minority", your term, not mine.

Secondly, Biden won by 43,000 votes over 3 states. It doesn't matter if 200 million Democrats vote for the Democrat in CA, NY, and DC. Y'all keep forgetting about the Electoral College for some reason.

No, I worry about Dem turn out a lot. I just think in 22 republicans will return to normal levels of turn out, not 2020 turnout.

I wouldn't be so sure. Conservatives have higher turnout than Liberals on average, but in mid terms especially the disparity is so much worse than on presidential elections. You throw in things like the party out of power generally being more popular than the one in power, Republicans saying sensible things they would never say in power when they would be under pressure to act on them, as well as the many red states doing their damnest to suppress the vote and a Republican court that will bless it and I suspect we have a recipe for a Republican win on the backs of delusional Conservative voters.

It's most likely the Democrats will lose the Senate or the house in 2022, if not both:

But really it's too unpredictable how the trump factor plays out. Do the crazies get dissillusioned and not show up, or does trump sit on the sidelines egging them on, or pass the crazy torch.
