This is going to sound silly, but...what is Fry's

I've never heard of this place. Ppl on these forums talk about them like they're as common as McDonalds. How do they rate compared wih Best Buy or whatever, and how can I find one?

They're like Office Depot's for computer and electronics. They're basically all on the west coast and Texas I believe.

actually, you can compare them to a Compusa or Microcenter, but much cheaper. They relate to Best Buy in price, but Fry's has more selection.

imagine bestbuy and multiply the size and selection by two. fry's has really nice deals from time to time also - just avoid the csrs in there, they wont help much

Imagine Best Buy, Office Depot and your local music/DVD store multiplied by 3. And they even carry a limited selection of 'Adult' DVDs!

You can buy TVs, refrigerators, dishwashers, computers, office desks & chairs, home theater equipment, DVDs, computer & electronic equipment, vacuum cleaners, phones, camcorders...etc.etc.etc.

Fry's
