My Advanced Programming TA (he's a GRAD student in CS) insists that degrees to radians != degrees * (PI/180)
That was what I used in a program and here's what he says:

"Hi

the cnversion from degree to radians is incorrect, the answer that your
program displays is wrong."

Is he drunk or what?

No, his TA is saying that degrees to radians is not equal to degrees times pi divided by one hundred and eighty.

maybe some round off error or something. see what happens if you do (Degree/180)* PI

Well, I suppose it's easy to get confused about the conversion factor (grad students are only human... I think). Showing the mathematical derivation of it should convince him, no?

Just so you know, I was once given a vacation for using the words "pecan pie" gratuitously, it could happen w/ the snake biting too.

He might not be saying that the equation is wrong but rather you fscked up somewhere else in the program that resulted in an error.

Maybe the formula that you attempted to use was not entered into your program correctly?

I was a CS grad student once...
Trust me its really easy to lose your mind when reading papers, publishing papers, taking classes, teaching classes and being the professors b!tch doing research.
Have some respect for the man and just send him an email explaining him that you ARE correct.

not my TA but one of the other assembly TAs last semster wore the same thing every day though he didn't smell bad....oddly enough

though my digi logic TA this semster can't speak english very well or explain our labs....or answer questions.....and butchers words like when he tries to say "verify" it sounds like "wire-a-fie" and im like..."wire what?....oh right"
