It was a sealed package a NEW Sony dvd's (qty5) I picked up about a mth back at Comp USA. There's a wase of $5.-6. bucks, as there's no way they'll believe me that there were no discs in the package even if I had a reciept **LMAO**

Not as good as my story man. Bought 2 50 packs of Imation dvd's from Office Depot.

Came home, opened up one of the spindles and used a couple discs. Then, like 2-3 days later, I pop in a disc and it wasn't reading as empty. I figure hey, facked up disc, but no, as I look down, they're all like used, burned cds! Stuff like cartoons, computer games and stuff. So, through further investigation, I figured that someone bought the spindle, grabbed all but the top couple of discs and replaced the rest with bad burns/other misc discs to take up space and rewrapped the spindle with I guess one of those home package plastic wrappers.

They then returned it and got their money back. I went back to the store and they gave me a new spindle, but I don't know whether it was because they believed me, or because I had the company charge card and would be there at least once a week for office supplies and they knew me by name.

As for calling Sony. They're not liable and will just tell we to return them, right?

There's no telling what Sony will do -- back when I was a young kid (maybe 12yo? I forget), I called Duracell since I had a package of batteries with a dented one..they asked if it had damaged anything (no, since it wouldn't fit in my flashlight :p), and sent me ~$12 in coupons. :D

Even the crappy manufacturers tend to have some sort of quality control phone number in the event that a messed batch gets through. It's an 800 number anyway isn't it, just try it.

Just called Sony and she said that I would have to take it up with Comp Usa where I bought the discs. Screw that, I'm not driving to Orlando and waste 3+ hours for 5 discs.

If I'm in that area again, I'll fling the empty cases like chinese stars at Comp Usa's windows **LOL**

I hate making phone calls, I really do. It's not worth the frustration to me. If someone else cares to do it for me, go for it. I'll give you the number on the box/code etc. If you need my home address, just PM me.
I'm not afraid to call mind you, I just hate the one caller passing you off to another and then to another, it's BS.
