this link is pretty old, it was out in july i think, dfi has a demonstration off the record of x700 in crossfire clone mode

I'm bringing this back from the dead because it sounds damn interesting. I've seen the articles (bad translations and all) and being on a tight budget I'm always interested in ways to double video performance for as little money as possible.

Why haven't we seen more information on this?

Does anybody have any new information?

I read the article in chinese and basically they're saying that in order to run two normal cards in crossfire mode you have to flash one card's bios to the crossfire mastercard edition. There is a restriction on the type of rendering though. You can only use Alternate Frame rendering. It is great for benching but not so good for gaming.
