New evidence!

What was that saying about having enough monkeys, enough typewriters and Shakespeare? :)

I thought this warranted a new thread...

I met an artist the other day who really impressed me. He did a lot of interesting pieces, but what impressed me most was how frequently he returned to a style that showed universal appeal and recognition. The modern art didn't really catch my eye until I saw what he could do with still-lifes. Then I started paying a LOT mroe attention to the modern stuff.

His DC Paintings are superb.

That's pretty cool that a chimpanzee made art.

Being "modern" has nothing to do with anything. Obviously you are confusing this for abstract art, which isn't possible unless chimpanzees are capable of abstraction. In any case, abstract art has been around for nearly the whole century.

Well that's cool, because it shows how intelligent chimps are. It's cool that he kept within the boundaries and decided when a painting was finished.

I agree, that's actually kinda neat. If I could pay a couple thousand dollars to actually sit and watch as the monkey painted and then get to keep the painting, that would be quite cool.

I was just about to say...

I'd rather have this hanging on my wall than that $11 million one.

Darn....knew I shouldn't have bought that monkey, he screwed me....

Beauty is all in the eye of the beholder. In my eye, it sucks. Anybody who pays more than a wet sponge for that wasted their money.
