Im trying to analyze our cash register receipts, and im trying to figure out wtf DRW CNT means. We have a sharp UP-3000 series register, but im sure this is a standard counter of something. The manual says its the "drawer counter" but beyond that gives no description of what it actually counts. Sometimes its a high number, sometimes its a low number.

Any ideas? Thanks

drawer counter...I would assume it keeps a running total of all the cash in the drawer

You would think; but no. The TRANS CNT gives the amount of transactions, and the CID report gives the cash in drawer.

and sharp tech support had no idea, they kept on giving me other values which were listed as diff. things haha.

number of times the drawer is opened/closed?

That's what I would say too.

He said that too, but it was also wrong...case in point is that in two days with roughly the same sales, one was like 800 and one was 44. Also, trans ct should be the number of times the drawer opens and closes because the only time the drawer opens and closes is during transactions. ahhh
