wow i can't believe this is a real screenshot i took!
i was looking around tweaks for my windows 2000 thru the program Xteq System X-Setup... and i bumped into this option!!!

Sometimes it is useful to cause a bug check so that you can insure that a memory dump is being written.
 
Yes, that is real and yes, it is useful. If you want to see what happens when you "crash" a server to see what is impacted by it, it is useful. There are numerous other things that can be used for also to test and evaluate systems, policies and programs in a mass system deployment.

in addition to this...it can be a great tool to use to get that new PC you've always wanted but ur Boss is too cheap to give ya 😉
