Is anyone else not happy with Bush's Stance on Gay Marriage? I'm not even gay.

I like Bush for most things.

But COME ON. I thought this country was based on freedom. Freedom to do what you want!

No, I'm not one to go running around screaming "they are taking away all our rights" Buthis just pisses me off.

I can not beleive that OUR goverment is trying to ban somthing that is natural. WE ARE APES, WE CAME FROM APES.

I think marriages should be unions between males and females. That is my stance and I support Bush in his stance.

But YOUR stance limits the rights of others. Allowing gay marriage would not inhibit anyone else, except maybe on a moral stance. That, I think, is what it boils down to for me.

Forgive me for being ignorant of the news lately but is Bush trying to make sure gay marriage isn't allowed or was he just voicing his opinion?

If it was the later than I see no problem with that. I have zero problem with our president having his own personal stance on things as long as he's not trying to force his moral opinions on us.

If it was the former though he's wrong. Whatever two adults chose to do is their buisness. If two guys want to get married then by all means, let them. They're not hurting me or anyone else so who cares what they do?

edit cause I'm tired and left out a few words 😛

a constitutional amendment will never pass 37 states, don't worry about it, it is just campaign fodder for next year's election

My opinion in that Marriage is a bond between two people. Its a belief structure. In fact you could consider it in many ways to be a religious belief...
I feel that this would fall under some sort of Separation of Church and State.
Gov't has no right to tell ANYONE with whom they may have a life long bond.

Bush is a jackass, he was before the election, he will be after.

This country needs to drop it's bs puritanical values and open it's timid little eyes to reality.

Natural? God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.

I don't care though. Whatever makes them happy. Just stop showing it on MTV!!! j/k
