I'd vote its a flaky hard drive issue, or a cpu temp issue. What're your temps? Does it do this in safe mode?

Just as a complete guess, I would say your motherboard is the issue. But I am just guessing for fun. First you should find out if the issue is hardware or software. Try to go into Safe Mode and check wether the issue is still occurring. Please give us more details on what exactly is happening. What programs specifically? What programs you have installed? etc. Let us know and we can puruse this further.

ok, what drivers are you using? it seems like it could easily be the chipset drivers. what is your memory usage?

Wow,

Who knows what could be the problem....need some more info. really. Has the system ever booted up properly?? Is it a brand new build? Are all the power supply cables attached correctly?? By Hangs, do you mean freeze/lock-up or Blue Screen??

BTW..I second the chipset drivers suggestion

Good luck!!

Check your RAM Command Rate - the Asrock board generally does not stabilize at 1T command rate. 2T Command Rate required for stability by most users.

Mine would run Prime95 just fine at 11X250 with 1t Command Rate, but fail in the real world.

Acid test is Memtest86 Test#8.

Hope this helps!

This is the best thing I've seen so far. I was going to bust in and tell you to check your RAM settings, but dunkster beat me to it.

What is the matter? I think I had the best suggestion so far. To narrow the issue down to software or hardware by going to safe mode. Why are you calling me stupid. See this is why I have been reading these forums for more than a year and not repsponding, because of people like you.
