I need to find some information about transmission through a polarizer at non-normal incidence. I can't seem to find any help anywhere.

Basically, given a beam with polarization [px py pz] incident upon a polarizer in the xy plane, what is the transmitted polarization (and amplitude). For the sake of discussion lets say the polarizer absorbs light in the x polarized direction.

If anyone can answer this or find info online I will be impressed.

If its [0 py pz] then for a polarization which absorbs in the y direction it would be [px 0 pz]. It seems to me that the light which is transmitted through the x-polarizer should not be transmitted through the y-polarizer. That is why I am hesitant to agree.

Maybe this one... <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://web.mit.edu/people/jinseok/research/archives/presentation/2006HTPD.pdf">Analytic prediction of polarization angle
