Well i just got my new camera and im the person who loves to take lots of pics and erase them right after you take them, well no more to that. My idea is a flash drive with interchangeable USB and mini-b plugs so you can plug it into your camera via mini-b and download all of your photos and them transfer them to your computer via USB

um why don't you read it again the objective is to plug a flash drive into a digital camera via MiniB to download the photos to it so then you can erase the pictures from your camera and later by USB plug it into your computer to get the photos out

Why don't you just plug your memory card into your card reader? Why would you want to carry around two different formats of storage?

I was thinking more along the lines of those things you put a 2.5" drive in. And have like a 20-80GB notebook drive in there.

Just hook the camera up via USB or insert the card itself, hit the copy button or button from the menu, and it saves everything from the flash card to the 2.5". When you get back home, just hook that up to your p00ter and download.

They have just added MP3 functionality as a bonus.

Everyone understands you... either that or you're incapable of explaining yourself. You wrote that you want to move the pics off your camera to some other device which you can then plug into your computer. There are already many ways to do this, including using an MP3 player, and just swapping flash cards in the camera.

If you mean something else then you'll have to write something else won't you. People can't read your mind.

I believe he's talking about something the size of a USB key that plugs directly into the digital camera and automates the entire process. As if we needed something else to carry in addition to our mp3 players

they have devices like this, the problem is having usb devices that support host mode transfers. in general with memory so cheap people just buy more cards.

they even have them for the ipod.

people serious about cameras will often have 4+ GB of cards, which is alot of photos.

I jsut want a camera with bluetooth. i HATE having to find the cord for my camera of take the memory card out of it.
