Alright my gigbyte mobo (7vrxp) is running the f8 bios. Yesturday was in my bios and i was fooling around so i put "Top Performance" enabled thinking it would improve my computer all together. SO i did and saved it. Then when i started the computer i heard a loud 5 second "BEEP" and it didnt go into windows. I was soo freaken scared. so then i went into my again and loaded my optimized defualts because disableing "Top Performance" just didnt work. SO it worked. I was happy. But then now the problem i have is that it doesent show the "primary master" "slave" at startup... u know what i mean?. It just goes directly to windows. Is this ok? I mean sure i get a faster boot but would this break my computer?... Sorry for my noobness

Its fine. My old win98 machine wizzes by that screen so fast I have to hit pause just to see whats there.

What counts is that your system is working correctly.

It would seem that the top performance setting was too extreme for some of your components. Probably your ram is not top of the line and that is where the system hung.
