Reports are that Portland OR is now issuing marriage licenses to gay couples, and gays are showing up at courthouses around the country demanding licenses. Something needs to be done or we risk wholesale defiance of the law.

It may be that the law is not being enforce fairly and evenly. Poorly worded? the intent does not qualify as an legal excuse. The same goes for ignorance of the law.

Unless the law states that it must be opposite sex, then to deny a legal union becomes discrimination and illegall.
