this has gotta be an all time high

im doin 282X10 for about 2.81 ghz on air. ht multi is 3, link is at 844. vcore is about 1.42 and cpu-z lists mem as ddr2-700 4-4-4-12. memtest lists it at exactly ddr2-800 at 4-4-4-12. idle temps are 31-34c according to coretemp. full load highest gets about 55c. superpi 32m stable, 2x prime95 stable for about 30min, memtest 1 pass stable. did i just wish a x2 5200 and get one?

Sadly, many people have broken the 3 ghz mark with s939 Opterons, and I suspect that AM2 Opterons could do the same. The new Brisbanes seem to be good for 3.0-3.1 ghz.

So, while that is not an all time high, it is pretty good.

I don't think he has an opteron? I think it is a great achievement for a 3800 X2 AM2 chip. I hardly ever see any go to the 2.8 mark from the stock 2.0GHZ (on a 3800 x2 chip) .

I was saying, getting 2.8 on an X2 is not a record when people have hit 3 ghz on Opterons. Some of the later s939 X2s hit 3 ghz as well. Brisbane is an X2 as well, and it has hit 3.1 ghz already.

no, its not even close to good. woke up today and one of my prime95's had failed, and so did super pi. i guess running them all together is bad...

That's pretty good, but I wouldn't run it 24/7. If it were me I'd up the voltage a bit more if I could (<1.5). How high can you OC it while keeping it 100% stable?

well its at about 1.41 or 1.42 volts, 272X10 so id say power wise its really good. im running 2x prime95 right now and it hasnt failed like it did this morning when my cpu was at 282X10. it looks to me like im in the same predicament as everyone else. only thing is, i wanna know if i can get 300X9 so that so my ram runs close to ddr2-800. i think thats almost impossible considering my pqi 2X512 ddr2-533 is stock at Cas4
