No, it wasn't his first time. He was a regular. Every stripper knew him by name.

OP: You assume too much about this guy. You had never even met him, but you seem to have his whole life story mapped out in your head.

If he is a regular, as you imply he seems to be, he most likely knows exactly what he is doing.

For you to act like you are saving this guy from himself is extremely condescending.

Edit: And just what were you doing at the club if you're so much better than him?

So then why do you continue to act like you were the hero in this situation? Your doubletalk in this thread is confusing...

The dude was feeling good. Sure it was costing him money. But who are you to ruin his experience? Of course we all know that it as a waste of money but to him it was a night where he could live like the dudes in the rap videos. Don't bring him back down to earth. He spent his money, let him enjoy what he bought. You saying something might have brought him back to earth too soon.

Of course he will wonder what happened to his money they next day. But you reminding him about it that night wont do any good.

I thought about this, but then I found out he was a regular there. And that's what finalized my decision to say something. This guy was a regular, speding a ton of money, on whore's / gold-diggers often. I felt that somebody (ME!) needed to let him know the facts.

If he was a regular he knew damn well what he was doing. He doesn't need some jackass visiting the club once to make him feel like sh!t; he probably feels like crap on a regular basis.

I thought about this as well....but shouldn't somebody have given him a wake up call??? Or a warning? Man...seriously, this guy was just WASTING his money away. It was such a sad sight! I had had a few beers and felt it was my duty to tell him, because nobody else apparently was going to...

#1 M Y O B especially in a strip club. Keep your eyes on the titties and off of the patrons, should you not care to have further relations with them, young gr_asshopper.
I know some ugly guys that will stuff your pieces in trash bags on the way out to the woods , if you should start talking smack to them at a BIKINI BAR, which is where you were at, btw.

This rule exists for the same reason one does not observe , nor comment on, another man's junk whilst eliminating. Your MAN Filter needs adjusting.

#2: You have all this time to think it through about HIM, yet cannot think it through about your real role in this ? Which is NONE. btw. As it violates Man Rule#3.... which is also # here....

#3: What goes on in the Champagne room, stays in the Champagne Room. , nuff said.

#4. Economics 101 teaches us why strip clubs exists and why they stay so profitable despite the numerous and sundry taxes and fees levied in an effort to reduce their attraction. Until they figure out how to tax tumescence, that methodology will never work. duh.

Because I was unsure about the whole thing. I'm trying to stand up for what I did, yet I can see and understand many of the opposing views that are stated from others. From the poll, it looks like the majority doesn't agree with me saying anything to him. I can understand that, yet a part of me still feels like I should have stuck up for the guy.

It's sometimes hard to accept when you're wrong about something, but acknowledging the fact will help you grow as a person, don't you realize that?

(see how condescending that sounds?)

Of course he knows they are there to take his money, just like a hooker is there to take her client's money as well. People still willingly give hookers lots of money, don't they? Sheesh. What a dork.....

Quite a few assumptions in that paragraph about someone we don't even know. How exaclty do you know this guy "knows" they're just using him? If your down on your luck, not good looking, have mental issues or any other bad aspect of life sometimes even the smallest "hello" can mislead that individual.

We've all had a friend or heard stories where a girl is using a guy to either:
A.) Get his money, house, car, buy her fake breasts
B.) Get his best friend
C.) Cheating on him
D.) Get something in particular

So even though people tell that guy hes being used rarely do they belive it until they get slapped in the face with it. So yeah the OP didn't really need to say anything and it probably wasn't the best time / place / or even his job but damn we all got man cards. Women sure as hell dont look out for us (for the most part) so if were not looking out for other man card holders you might be leaving a brother to crash n' burn alone.

I dont think he probably handled it the best way but the guy tried to do something. If he got the impression I needed some damn help I'd rather him try and mess up rather than ignore what could have been a silent plea for help.

Awfully dramatic but I'd buy the OP a beer for at least doin what he felt needed to be done and having the balls to carry it out

Great post :) QFT!

And pics are not even considered. If I would've even attempted that, I would have had the bouncers in my face.

Per city rules, they can not get completely nude.

Pretty much they can strip down to a bikini. No bare tops or bottoms.

WTF, That's not stripping.

I can get more eye candy from searching through Myspace

Last time I was in New Orleans we went into Rick's sober and I was laughing at the losers giving the chicks $20 for lap dances thinking the girls actually liked them.

10 beers later I was getting $20 lap dances thinking the girls actually liked me :)

$60 for three chicks with big naked boobs to sit on my lap. Can't say I regret it even to this day.

I'm not sure WHY you even felt it was any of YOUR business what the guy was frittering away his $$$ on...
I'm VERY surprised you weren't tossed out on your ass...MOST places would do just that the second you started trying something like that.
Soes the guy KNOW he's just being used? Unless he's a total Down's Syndrome type...yes, but perhaps he's in a horrible marriage, and this is the only way he can get the attention of a pretty female...
MYOB...

We found him, the last honest man !!!!

LOL the cats are not happy with my outburst of laughing......

< spent a great deal of money with an Austrian native folk dancer I once met in Japan.
She didn't tax my American imported goods at the same rate as the locals.

For all you know the ugly fat guy was a gazillionaire who likes strippers. Bad move.

The only time you ever try to "rescue" another man from strippers is when:

1. He is your friend
2. You came in the same car
3. HIS car
4. You're tired, want to go home and the strippers have your cab money

If those four stars don't align STFU and drink your overpriced beer.

EDIT: You are a jackass. I mean, he's using the girls too, it's a beautifully weird cycle that keeps itself alive due to its symbiotic nature. It's the same thing as you going out and buying something nice for yourself. The companies are using you to make money but you are more than happy to pay for the service/product they supply. This service is no different.

EDIT: I'm referring to the OP if that is unclear.

I'd say you should have left the guy alone. Whether or not he knew the "truth" of the situation (although I have known quite a few people who've picked up dancers while they were working), it's his decision, his money, and his freedom to spend it.

Beyond that, if the guy truly had no idea that the majority of those women were only after his money and couldn't care less what he had to say, then you walking over and pointing it out isn't suddenly going to bring about some sort of epiphany. It's something he'll just have to realize on his own.

My bet is that he might harbor a fantasy or two about one of these girls ending up at home with him, but more than anything, he probably just enjoys the attention and/or the sight of half-naked women. That's what strip clubs are for. Let the guy enjoy his time.

Also, as others have mentioned, bringing this up outside the club probably would've been a better choice.

The OP is 100% full of it. Guys do not go to strip clubs, then go up to other guys and tell them not to spend money on strippers. Nobody actually thinks that strippers care about them, and most guys don't want them to. They simply want a hot woman to dance with them, and the fact that they do it because you pay them usually adds a nice touch of dominance to the experience.

I don't believe for a second any part of the story, sounds more like there's a new PAB to kick around.
